Just felt like sharing this with you all. Yesterday I had been to a doctor and have pierced Rishi's ears thru gun shot. I hated to do it but MIL insisted so much and she said she has also ordered some studs for him!!! You won't believe he sobbed and sobbed for about 15 minutes and I felt sooooooooo miserable. Thought of the same time last year when I had to take an US on him for his SCFN. That was at least necessary, why should we do this??? At least if its a girl, there is no other go.

MIL is saying that he has to wear what she has ordered on his star birthday (Feb 1st) and I don't know if it will get thru his hole. I have told Shyam to be firm and not to try anything that is painful for him.

I know that she is doing this for her grand child out of love, but why let him suffer and cry like this? Whole night I was awake in the fear that he would touch his ears!!! Had I not given gun-shot she says she will make the goldsmith do it and that will even bleed... can't think of it too..

Ok, may be I am over-reacting but it was terrible to see him sob so much yesterday...

I am katti with you for puttin my friend through so much pain.. Next time, i'll make sure i come to your place when her other paatti is there and give her a big bite on her ears!!

Chi Paaavam Rishi.. I feel soooo... sorry for him. If my my ma/pa had done this i would have just run away from the hospital or would have kiched the doc so hard where it hurts!!

A big hug to Rishi.. Hope he feels better by today. And Pls dont try anything painful on Feb 1st!! Pls Pls..

I cudn't agree with you more coz I myself was in the same boat some months back, when we had to do both mottai and ear-piercing for Atul. The agony of having to grin and bear all this along with seeing ur son goin thru all the pain....whew, too much! And trust me, you are not over reacting...it's just a normal mother's instinct...

I know that grand parents do everything out of love -- but can spare a thought and let us make decisions for our children at least. I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings here...just my personal opinion.

Hope Rishi is fine now, and has a wonderful star birthday on Feb 1st.
