Due Date Club October 2003:Heard baby's heartbeat first time!!

Name: Nikki Hi all,
Yesterday I heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time :) I was just crying.How wonderful it is that new life is inside you!!!
But the only problem is taht I have already completed my 15 weeks but still having vomitting ..It stopped in between but again started .I don't know What to do .My Doc gave me tablet for it ,but I am not sure whether it is good to take or not?
Also,I gained a total of 5 pound weight.How much u all have gained???
I am feeling so weak beacuse of vomiting all the time.I am unable to eat anything solid.Doc. advised me to take fluids only.

Hope my situation will improve some day.

Congratulations!!!
At next visit you'll be able to listen the baby's hearbeat more clearly, and you'll be more excited. It's such a great feeling.
My vomiting reduced in 15th week. Till my last checkup a week ago I lost 5 pounds. My doc also gave me Zofran tablet to stop vomiting. I took one tablet a day and it really helped. I still have this problem of not taking enough fluids. My doc says not to worry about solids, but just keep taking fluids in little quantities. But I just can not digest any thing liquid, it comes out.
I also had confusion about starting that medicine, so I talked to my doc about it, and he made me read in the book that this tablet is safe in pregnancy.
I am also feeling very very weak, I can not walk for more than 5 minutes.
Has your tummy started showing up? I have just started showing up, I feel very great about it, but among friends I feel a little shy also.

After 14 weeks things are really getting better, once a week I wil have severe acidity and cant eat, but atleast its better than bfore, I am sure. Dont worry your weight gain is ok and shld start improving from now on, aim for 1 to 1.5 lbs every week.
Try to lot of milk atleast that will help... Good Luck, hope u feel better.
