Hi Ashra&Nick
colic in babies can be really frustrating for moms.Try what Suni said also if it is happening the smae time every day,try dimming the lights around that time, rub his/her back with your palm&lighlty pat with cupped palm to expel gas.I FIND THE SITTING POSITION most effective to burp my son.
Also swaddling works for some babies.Sit in your rocking chair&just lightly rock him more than u sitting in a stationary position&rocking[this wil lbe less tiring on you]
Just try to eliminate gassy foods from your diet inspite of all this if baby is stil lfussy u just have ot take turns putting him to sleep, colic ultimately goes on its own.
Gluck&hope the babies start behaving!!

Hi Ashra and Nick,

Colic is very typical in most babies, my son starts acting up at around 6 in the evening too....here is what I notice in my son...he needs to be burped a lot more especially in the evenings since it is gas that causes most of the colic. He also loves being held, and my hubby/parents do that. If I try just holding him he wont let me since he thinks being with me means feed time in the evenings. One thing that has worked like magic is that we take him out in the car, the movement of the car tends to quieten him and he sleeps...do try this. Once our babies are six weeks old, they can use their swings, that movement will also help them.
Hope this works for you too.

Suni
