Hi there....

Would like to understand from anyone who can explain what the meaning of \";Sharing\"; is in a marriage?

I mean my husband had told me about how everything in a marriage is about sharing your life with another person and living with another person and having no secrets with the spouse etc. But today 4 years later there seems to be this need to have a seperate everything.......???

Seperate Bank account.....Seperate assets.....Seperate friends (on the sly on the email etc)Seperate life almost and all the while expecting me to share my all with him??? I am totally confused about this new scenario. Sometimes I want to tell myself that maybe I am reading too much into this whole thing but then on other occassions I am convinced that the whole thing is a step towards something I am unaware of. He is very sweet and very normal about day to day living. But I found it a little ridiculous that he demands to know my email paswords but is doing everything opposite.

I am very confused.......I need some answers......am I being completely paranoid or is this normal and this is what sharing is all about? I mean the guy gets to keep all his secrets and the woman has to share everything........??? Oh yes and by the way I have to share even the money that comes to me.....then it is \";OURS\"; But when we both have a joint income and money comes in there then It is \";HIS MONEY\";.......Something wrong somewhere Right? swathi replied. It is ridiculous what your husband is doing! By demanding to know your e-mail passwords etc., he seems very overprotective.
Also its really silly for him to talk about \";sharing\"; when he is acting so overpossesive.
I don't think you're being paranoid, you just have to work things out between you. Try to talk to him seriously about whats on your mind.
