Waiting to try:Early miscarriage update

Folks,
I had posted a week back about my miscarriage in Oct. This was a second one in 6 months. I went to the doctor yesterday. She was concerned that about my recurrent losses. I told her I use OPK to predict ovulation and I get a positive only after day 21 of my 31-32 day cycle. She felt that my Lutueal phase was too short. So here's what she suggested:
I start charting my temperature. Using OPK and temperature charts I should know when I ovulate. Then the day after I ovulate I should start taking prometerium (progesterone hormone). If I get pregnant this cycle I should continue taking it every day till 12 weeks. If I don't then I should stop taking it after I get my periods.

She also took a lot of blood to do some blood work. I'm not sure about the specifics of the tests.

Overall I am hopeful for this month. However all this charting and using OPK really kills the fun and spontaneity of the baby mahing process. .... But I guess some people have to go through this.....So net net I will take promiterum after I ovulate....and let's see if the magic happens and I stay pregnant !
Anyway that's my update..... A very happy diwali to every one and prayers for all TTC members.

Archie,
I appreciate the insight and your adwise. I am taking prenatal vitamins every day. I guess prenatal vitamins are high in folic acid.
Regarding bed rest... how important is it. I mean I have travel plans during my post ovulation phase. I asked my doctor about bed rest and she said I could travel and be normal. Should I cancel my travel plans ?

I am hopeful .... Thanks for your support. The thought of hearing the fetus heartbeat is already making me feel better.
Thanks again.

I am hopeful with this treatment. In fact this is what I suggested you to do.

I did not know that your OPK comes positive on CD21 and cycle is 31 days. That's incredibly short LP.

Progesterone support is a great option at this stage along with bed rest.

you have been a OPK user and you did not mind so why the concern while adding BBT. YOu are only concentrating on getting baby and not to experience it by surprise.

you will be excited once you get to hear your fetus heart in next pregnancy.

I would however strongly recommend a folic acid suppliment and also gap of at least a cycle before you ttc to recover nutrient loss. Do not get health contious while this wait period, go ahead and eat healthy meals.
