We were trying from past two yearz , my husband have low sperm count and motility. Last year when we tested in Bangalore with Dr.Vasan the count was around 7million , last year we came to US and when we tested here it was 4 millions.

The Doctor here said there is no treatment for sperm count increase and advised to go for alternative method . My husband changed his lifestyle started working out , stopped alcohal and started taking Zinc supplements daily. When we went for IUI after 3 months the sperm count was 27 millions and for second IUI 24 millions . We gave a gap of one cycle during which he exercised heavily and had couple of time beer. This time three days before IUI he had two beer and the count came to 4 million. However we ahead with IUI ... am not sure if the count was correct in initial attempts. we both were disappointed.

We will be back to Bangalore/Chennai in December..looking at this forum messages bit worried about treatment and doctors.

Planning to have IVF/ICSI in Bangalore/Chennai. Can any one suggest me a good doctor and cost of this treatment. Will the doctors are really helpfull and will they answer our questions and conerns ? Hi, If you have tried for 3-4 cycles if IUI which have failed unfortunately, you can definitely go for ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) or IMSI(Intracytoplasmic morphologically selected sperm injection)where sperm can be magnified 7200 times. By this technique good quality sperm can be obtained. This technique has very high success rate. Dr. Hrishikesh Pai has has introduced this technique in India - available in Mumbai, Delhi. Victor replied. Its very unfortunate that you DH' s sperm count is low. We are also are suffering from the same problem and my wife is undergoing thru IUI. ALready we have gone thru 3 cycles. With only once she got conceived but had to undergo abortion in 3 month. Only advise is keeping trying IUI before the age runs off..
