my little star. She was born on December 3rd at 7:53pm. Her name is Niya Kanthi. She weighed 7.3lbs and was 20.5in long.

During my appointment on Tuesday, the doctor did an internal exam and found out that I was neither effaced nor dilated. She then checked my fluid level which she said was considerably low. She asked me to get admitted immediately for induction. I went to the hospital at around 5pm. At 5.30, they gave Cervdil to ripen by cervix. By morning, I had a bloody show. At 9am, they gave me Pitocin to start my contractions. By 11.45, the contractions were unbearable but was dilated 2cm only. By 1.45, I got to 5cm and asked for epidural. They said it would be given through the fatty tissue in the arm, what a fool I am to believe that. Later I found out that it was just a small dose of pain medication that made me feel very sleepy. Anyway, I still suffered from severe pain inspite of my drowsiness. At 6.30, I was 10cm dilated. Started to push at 6.40 and she was out at 7.53pm.

They said I had lost too much blood. I was under monitor as my BP levels had dropped. Due to the pain, I developed fever and had been suffering from it till yesterday. Today, I feel much better.

Many many congrats !!Niya Kanthi is a nice name.I was thinking about you for the past few days but could not log on as my computer was not working.Your birth story is more or less the same as mine,the difference being you delivered normally and I had to go for C-section.;Waiting to see little angel's pictures.
