I happened to grab the movie \";vastu shastra\"; starring sushmita sen !!! it s a horror movie...My friends recommended me not to watch such movies at this stage ...I wanted to know is there any truth in it !! Will it in anyway affect the baby !!

Sorry for missing your yahoo message. Its not advisable to watch horror movies in the last trimester, because tension and fear are not good (of course at any stage during pregnancy but last trimester is imp.) now we are in 2 trimester and as long as you enjoy the movie without any fear, its ok. But still people say that we need to be peaceful and balanced thinking so that baby will also get the same kind of thoughts and see the things which give us the pleasant thoughts. So, don’t worry about Susmitha Sen but if you feel stress while watching any movie( may not be horror), try to avoid.
This is just my analysis based on what I hear and read. Lets see what our rest of friends say!!

Which movies to watch during gestation is solitarily depends on taste of mother-to-be and how she takes those movies.
The point is this, in horror movies the music run quite slow for a long run and then it suddenly get aggressive and that's trick for many as on screen while silent music you get anxious curious and your mind is imagining something to happen and before the real picture comes the sound appears and that in itself scares a plenty of people. There are people who get scared with the name of ghost in itself. Ther are a few who can tolerate ghost stories during sun but not in dark, some tolerate to some extend and then loose patience or get scared. Some are bold and can take stories till the end.
Pria it totally depends on person, regardless of pregnancy state.
Besides all Ram Gopal Varma has a warning that people with poor cardiac function must not watch this movie.

I did watch this movie and know some of my bold friends could not watch alone when it was played in theatre or on cable.

Especially when you are pregnant your fetus may not understand picture but can make sense of sounds and it may be that responds to the same. Many in their 5th and 6th month came telling their fetus showed good movement when a particular music was played or song was played. I admit that as I have experienced the same when I was pregnant with Advait.

Since fetus can hear the surrounding and can get sense of music volumes and not knowing whether he/she can take that sudden startling sound(s) you should not watch this movie, this is my suggestion. But if you have watched and followed fetal movements, provided you have begun noticing fetus movement then all is fine.
