Due Date Club April 2007:swollen n bleeding gums

Hi Archie and everybody,
Since last 1 mnt gums have become swollen and bleed whenever i brush my teeth in morg. n in night.is it major n should i consult a dentist or wait for my delivery to get over.i am in my 29th wk.otherwise my health is ok.thnks in advance.

Neena,
you are suffering from Pregnancy induced gengivits, which is normal as your blood volume is increased by 20% than normal. If you want you can get oral cavity cleaned without performing any X-rays or else if not that serious hold on until childbirth.

one more thing will the dentist give some ointment or some medicine for swollen gums to become normal then only i shall go otherwise cleaning part i think i will do after my delivery.
