Hi all,
I failed my GTT, the 1hr as well as 3 hr test and have now been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. The doc has put me on a planned diet with no direct sugars, which isn't very difficult to follow except that I am supposed to be eating 10 times a day from morning 7:00 am till night 10:30 pm. I am so tired of eating and taking regular readings on the glucometer and giving myself insulin injections. Just when I think that the sugar levels have stabilized, they go and increase a little bit more which means that I have to imcrease the insulin dosage. The doc says that the need for insulin will keep increasing as the days go by especially as I can't exercise.
Otherwise I am taking bed-rest and the medicines. My gynae wants me to see her only after 3 weeks if all is going as usual.

Kalika,
it is OK not a big concern if you have GD. you will be fine, when knowing how much you have been you will not find it difficult to cope up with GD.
