Hi

Any of ur babies having constipation and/or passing lots of gas/wind?

If so and if you have solved the problem, pl. tell me what changes u did in ur diet and/or any exercise etc. for baby ? I am at my wits end and haven't been able to solve this problem till date :(

Hi AB,
Although my baby does'nt seem to have constipation,she passes a lot of wind.I have stopped eating cabbage and cauliflower but it has not improved the situation much.Only when she is too much bothered by gas/wind,then I give her 6-7 drops of COliza.She gets benefitted.You can also keep her on her stomach which helps her passing the gas.
Also properly burp the baby .Why is she getting constipation?Are'nt u only breastfeeding the baby??

Thanks Jaya for ur reply. Baby is on breast milk, she refuses to take directly 99% of the time (all efforts of her doc., my doc., ICU nurses etc. failed) - hence i have to express the milk and give her. As it takes time when baby is hungry we start her off with little of lactogen.

I am not sure if it is genuine constipation as the motion she passes is not very hard; but she doesn't pass motion daily - its stabilising at passing motions once in 2 days at this point of time.

What is ur diet right now, can u give some details ?
