Waiting to try:If temp is falling, does that mean I am not preg?
2005-10-27
Name: Lakshmi

I had a miscarriage three months ago. My last period was on the 28th of Sep. Since a month I have been charting my body temperature everyday at 6 in the morning . Last few days it went up to 97.9 . But now it's falling down three days ago it was 97.5, yesterday and today it's 97.3. That means I am not Preg right?? I could do a test.... but, I want to wait until the 29th of Oct. I am just scared to see a negative result... Could it be that I was Preg and because of something I did, I lost it again ??

Lakshmi,
falling off the bbt in late luteal phase is expected if you did not conceive. Thus I would say that your temperatures are indicative of you getting period in about 2-3 days. If you are not going to get period and temperature rises again (I bet you may have seen rise in temp or got your periods by now) then hold on for another 16-17 days to take hpt.

If you have got periods then listen do not get too concerned on your past, that's something can only haunt you rather than helping with situation. YOu should be positive about future and forget all anxiety and worries associated with ttc. Once you lost at least meant you are fit to get pregnant. Therefore enjoy intimacy around ovulation BBT is good and will tell cycle pattern in about 3=4 cycles. I hope you will get me positive news in next cycle and no need to repeat BBT for any more cycles!

Cheer up and forget your tension same should be the case with your spouse then only things will fall at right place.

I think that falling temperature is not a good indication because the temp is supposed to remain elevated for atleat 18 days after ovulation if u r pregnant..

chances are that u r not ...

but the main reason behind this message from me is that it is not because of something which you did ... dont think like that , even the miscarriage u had few months back is not bcoz of somehting u did, such things are very common ...

anyways, all the best,
dont blame ur self for whatever happens,
hope you get BFP ... :)
