Hi girls! I m 20 weeks pregnant and in my level 2 ultrasound doctor told me that my cervix is tightly closed but measures only 3cm in length. she has put me on bed rest.Will bed rest really help? how risky can things get?please advice

Hi,

I have same problem and doctor told to take bedrest as cervix is trying to open. Its in23 weeks. it really helps as you are not puting pressure on your cervix while lying down. Some times in early pregnancy you will not know contractions are coming or not and if its short then preterm delivery will occur as cervix will open. SO LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR.
Like that I have completed 27 weeks.
