Due Date Club July 2005:my ear piercing experience

Hi all,

I got Anushka's ear pierced when she was 7 months old. I took her to the pediatrician. The difficult thing is to mark the holes in the ears. These babies don't stay still. Thats why they say the sooner the better.

Once the holes were marked, with a sketch pen, the doc and the nurse came together. I held her head, my husband held her legs and hands, and the doc and the nurse took positions on both sieds of the ears, and one, two and three, and together they made the gunshot. She cried for a minute, and she was fine after i took her in the hand.

I have not used any antiseptic cream, just tried to keep it clean. Just don't touch it. Anushka also didn't touch it anytime, so i was fine. They gave her tylenol at the clinic but thats about it. Nothing else was required.

By the way, the earrings are quite nice. I got two options, one with diamond, another just plain gold. I took the diamond ones which were for like $34. Obv, they are american diamonds, not our real ones, but they look nice.

Regards,
Sheetal

Hi Anitha, Hetal,

yes i completely forgot to mention. They did use a numbing gel. So I guess its either a numbing gel or a spray. Thats y these girls don't cry so much. ANd before the effect of the numbing gel wears off, u give them tylenol, so they will be fine.

Don't worry, its just like a shot, just a beesting and it doesn't hurt them as we imagine it would.

Good luck.

Regards,
SHeetal

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
