Due Date Club October 2003:Getting induced this Thursday

Name: Anu Hi Girls,

As I am overdue, my doctor is going to induce me this coming thursday. I will be in 42nd week by then. But my cervix is still only 50% effaced. So, I have to admit in hospital on Wednesday night and they will give me a pill which will open my cervix and put me in labour by thursday morning. Hopefully this long wait will end on Thursday. But I am feeling very tensed about that. I heard pains through induction are more painful. Also it is not good for baby. But I am not having any other choice as I am not getting natural pains. Friends, please do pray for me. And also let me know if you have any suggestions.

Don't worry.Even I was induced and then there is epidural.So don't worry about the pain,even people with natural labor has to go through it.
Best of luck and very soon u shall see ur baby.Then that joy will be endless.
So whatever the doctor is doing is for the best.U shall certainly be on my prayers.Best of luck and keep us updated.

Hi Anu,

Dont worry and dont be frightened.Ur doc surely knows whats good for u and the baby.And about the pains, once u have the baby in ur hands u will forget everything else.

Hi Anu,

As i saw ur message i remember all the daubts which i have in my mind when i was getting induced. So i can tell u only one thing that this pain is also bearable & it's not harmful for baby coz doctors knows what's best for baby & they would never do such thing which is harmful for baby. My delivery went very well & my Labour was only 7 hrs but only the last 2 hour was bad when i start pushing but that was also bearable. Just have faith in God & be positive..everything will be fine at the end. Coz in the end u got ur sweet little bundle of joys in ur hand & u will think that all the pains r worth & soon u will forget all these pains from which u r going through now..

So Once again have faith in god..

Be positive( even in ur delivery time )

Hi Anu,

Well tdy morning i was feeling so low but after reading ur msg i was little relieved as my due date is 30th Oct and tdy is 28th so still have 2 more days to go.But at times i feel that i will also cross my due date,right now i am 3cm dilated only and 80% effaced so lets see.
But u don't worry and have faith in God everything will be fine,u will be in my prayers all the time.
