Normal Delivery:Big baby

Name: NEHA PITRE Hello everyone,

Fist of all thanks to all who have replied to my Breech Baby quiries.

Now i have completed 31st week. Baby has turned it' s position to head down. During scanning have realised that baby is big. It weighs 4.5 pounds. Is it true that baby puts on wt approx. 200 gms every week ? My first delivery was normal , i suffered a lot, i was in labout for almost 14 hrs. My first baby' s birth wt was 2.6 Kg. My hight is 5.2' . Now i am very much scared of labour . Dr. says that we will monitor it till week 36 and i can opt for c-section.

Please share your experiences if anyone has face this situation.

Also please let me know anyone from Dubai who is due in NOV.

My baby weighs 5 pounds in 32 weeks.I gained 12 kg till now.Listen to ur doctor & he/she may be the best doctor to decide.In my case my baby is in breech, i want normal delivery.Just pray for me.

hi Neha,
Congratulates for completing 31 weeks.Since ur first delivery was normal, ur chances of having normal delivery is 95% sure.Do not worry about labor.This time ur labor may be faster than before(may be 5 or 6 hours).It is better to have normal delivery than C section, which requirs only 5 or 6 hours of pain.But for C section u must bear that pain for 6 weeks.How much weight u gained around 31 weeks?

Thanks for your reply.

From the bigining i am on heavier side. I have put on 10 kg till now. I had lots of helth problems and 2 yrs back i have to do DNC because of which there is a gap of 6 yrs between 2 deliveries, that´ s why bit worried. My daughter is now 6. Dr. has advised to wait for couple of weeks. Onother broblem is i am short my hight is 5.2´ . This time my tummy has become like a football. I can feel tremendous movements.
