We are married from last 4 years and right after marriage my wife was diagnosed with TB infection in Brain and Abdoman, She went through TB treatmnt for apprx. 1 year and after that we plaaned for baby but she could not conceive even after trying for 1.5 years so we went to doc and after all the tests we came to know that egg was not getting produced during cycle, doc did all her best but nothing happened she told that TB in abdoman has chaged the process of egg creation so need to see some infertility expert and suggested name of dr. Sonia Mallik in Holy Angles, NDelhi and we went there she given just 10 minutes to us and advised IVF saying that no point in wasting time now.
We are still not decided to go for IVF as it isvery costly and there are only 30 changes in one cycle as doc told us.
I would like to know if any other coupld has faced same prob and got success with some medical treatment without IVF, Please tell us.
Thanks

Hi there,

I have also had intestinal TB in 2005 also the same year that I got married. After trying for sometime we consulted a doctor and got to know that TB had infected my fallopian tubes and there was no way that I could conceive naturally because of the blocked tubes and the only way ahead for us was IVF. So I am planning to go for the treatment in Dec with Dr. Firuza Parikh, Jaslok hospital, Mumbai. She is a very accomplished doctor and I have been in touch with her through emails. I understand that it is very costly procedure but that is the only way forward.Hope this helps.

When I said it can be artificially induced I was talking about rupturing the egg. The doctor I consulted said she can give hormones injection to rupture the egg, which isn´ t very expensive. So that´ s why I said you need to consult an infertility specialist, who will know how to deal with this.

All the best
