Hi all finally,

I am in UK now as a stopover to go to India. Our plans for the 16th had been cancelled as we were having all the problems in the world-lost passport and no visa, Rishu had been sick for a month and just when he was getting better he suddenly had 103 fever and we spent a nite at the ER. That is when i wrote to you Padma that we are not leaving. Mann ko mana liya tha, actually Rishu ke karun India trip dimag se ud hi gaya tha. Lekin on Tues nite when we called Bristish Airways to get our ticket changed (which they had promised us after much pursuasion due to our circumstances)after being on the phone for 2 hrs they said there is no availibilty at all for the next 2 months which was mid Jan. And my return date is Feb 5 which also could not be changed. So I would have to buy a new ticket to come back. So I had to leave. I have never never been so upset abt going to India. Mentally to cancel hi kar diya tha but aise ki achanak ek din mein pure ghar ko kaise chodkar aati bolo? No shopping, no diapers except the ones at home, no jar food. But anyways after crying for 2 hrs I had to take the decision to leave. Rishu aur mere ko dono ko fever tha with R;s loosies which was going on for 2 weeks. Everything was a mess. I left the house totally in disarray. Could pack only some basic clothes for me as laundry nahi kiya hua tha. Thankfully Rishu's clothes I had done only a day before as he was potying so much so I was needing them.
So I will be leaving UK on Wed for India and am praying that everything will be OK.
Chalo will write more as soon as I can..Komal is there any advice you would want to give me as I am travelling alone and am shit scared of being at my inlaws without Puneet. He is not coming at all. DId Megha fall ill there-I am so scared about all that..but then cant wait to see mummy, papa.

Was really confused about your continuous silence. I will pray that all your illness and Rishu's flies off when you land at India. Nowadays I am too busy at work and at home too... just want to run away. Anyways no complaints 'coz I would have not survived half of what all you are going thru.

As Komal said, in-laws taking care of Rishu is gonna be totally different, please don't even watch that side. Just take rest. You can take care of everything after going back. There are times that I hug Rishi and weep to myself after a feeding session with MIL... they are all very different... nothing can be done.

Enjoy at parents' place and take loads of rest. Wish you a very happy stay and do write from there and keep in touch.

So releived to hear that you're on your way.. You get everything here - even gerber. You wont need any as Komal said, your parents/ In-laws will be fighting to make things at home for R.

Hope his loosies and both your fevers all vanish and you have a nice and peaceful holiday.

Just remember - no one is worth spoiling your time, not in-laws and not anyone. As komal said just turn the other way for all small things. Def. try to spend equal time at least with your parents or you'll resent it even more.

Nice to know that you're also going to india..it will be a wonderful change for both of you
I know it must've been tough to leave home so unplanned but ab woh sab bhoolkar just look forward to enjoying your trip and meeting everyone at home.
As for food just don't worry...rishabh will love india ka milk powder(i used lactogen Nan 2 as suggested by paddoo)and cerelac(lots of stuff to choose from -veggies and fruits with rice/wheat) ....and other things you can boil and mash at home itself.Even diapers in india are not bad.
Your parents will really enjoy with him and inlaws ke ghar mein bhi all the attention will be on him so don't worry.....bas hand him over and don't take tension over small things such as what/how they make him eat or how they put him to sleep,etc,etc...kyunki their ways will be really different from yours....and believe me you can't fight it...
Megha has become so naughty in india...bas ab ghar aake am trying to make a schedule,etc...basically trying to tame her:)).

About journey mine was tough since megs had a bad cold and refused to sleep much and wanted to jump out of the bassinet and get down and play..i finally gave up and let her move around on the aisle...meri bhi achchi exercise ho gayi...(by teh way i'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight thanks to her).

All the best...have lots of fun....eat lots of chaat and do lots of shopping..just take care with the drinking water and rishabh will be fine (megha didn't fall sick there ).
