Hi,
Does anyone have problems with the following that have not been resolved?
Skin discoloration, scars, stretch marks, moles, dark circles, acne, acne scars, cosmetic surgery and procedures, face lifts, bleaching or haircoloring, waxing and hair removal?
I have been licensed as a US licensed Cosmetologist, and have many years of experience in Hair, Skin and Nails. I owned a salon for many years and if I don't have the answers I will get them for you from World renowned doctors or specialists.

1. I am also little dark in colour, with dark circles. Can you suggest some remedy for that. 2. Another problem is that of Dpn,its heredity so can u tell me what precautions to take to reduce the coming of these dpns. 3. Do you think supplements of Vitamin E (Evion 400)and A help in meeting up with any deficiences. Is there any other supplement better than these. Thanks so much in advance for yur help

I had a mole by birth on my chin, it was a flat mole black in colour with 3-4 hairs. At Kaya skin clinic, they did radio frequency on it, the dermatologist said that she needs to see how deep it is and didnt guarantee complete removal. I went further with the treatment, I got it done twice and the result is not bad. The hairs were removed doing laser treatment. Its been 3months now. However there is a scar left now and one hair has also come up. She has asked me to leave it the way it is for 2months approx. She also advised use of Contractuben now(thats after 3 months getting the radio frequency done)as that will help in removing the scar. Could you pls tell me 1) Will the scar really go away permanently 2) If not what do u suggest, needs to be done to remove the scar completely. There is a cream which is advertised these days , some medaderm , how is that any idea 3) Was it right to go for this treatment? Surgery was another option but the surgeons said that it will leave a scar too.

Thanks for your email. I am not sure if you have dark spots or dark scars. Scars cannot be removed by the lemon juice or the milk moisturizer.
These home made remedies if applied for many years may show limited skin lightening, and should be applied at least once a day and left on for at least 30 minutes each time, but if it were for my own skin, I would go in for a professional skin lightener or a skin bleach product. I am not sure these products are readily available to you, but you may want to check with your local dermatologist or your local drug store or even your pharmacy to ask where you could buy them. Make sure you first do a skin patch test on the inside of your wrist to see if you have any adverse reactions.
The only way scars can be removed are via surgery: Dermabrasion, laser or perhaps another procedure whereby a skilled surgeon would use a small scalpel like tool like a hole-punch to cut the scar out, sew the ends together and after it is totally healed, to perform light dermabrasion or laser removal of the scar itself so you can get a smooth surface again. This procedure could be very expensive if you have many scars.
If I were you, I would research plastic surgeons or Medical Schools in your area, and ask them if they could use you as a 'demo' patient. This would allow them to demonstrate the procedure on you while they are teaching other doctors their procedure and it would cost you nothing in terms of money. In fact, you would also get excellent follow up care from the facilty because they will monitor and use you as a model for those students to see how successful their procedure is.

Hi K Shama,
Thanks for your email. I am not sure how many micro dermabrasion treatments you have had already and since you ask the question above, I assume that you are not seeing any significant results. This treatment removes dead skin in small increments and is a very slow process.
Laser treatments are very quick, almost painless and fast. You will have almost no down time and your skin will really show marked results if it is performed by an experienced Plastic surgeon. If you have dark circles under your eyes, the laser treatment can also remove those as well. The laser can also work on specific areas to reduce deeper scars.
Not all dermatologists perform this surgery which is really an out patient procedure and you will not have to go in as often as the microdermabrasion treatment.
If it were my own skin, I would go for the laser rather than microdermabrasion.
In fact, I have had surgical dermabrasion (major surgery) on my face over 10 years ago by a World famous Plastic Surgeon it cost me $5800.00 dollars and my skin looked lovely for most of those years, but it was very painful and Laser was not available at that time. I am going to have laser treatment in 2006 as a touch up.
