hi archie

Actually i completed 6 months by 6th of this month. to be more specific - by yesterday (10th of jan), i have completed 27 weeks of my pregnancy.

for the last 2 days - especially on tuesday night i felt that when ever the little one kicked me - i could feel it till my vagina. actually it was not paining, but it was a vibration kind of feeling which i never felt all these days. and i think head had moved to top of my belly. because on tuesday and yesterday - i felt it is keeping its head stiff in the top of my tummy.

i was bit worried on tuesday night. my hubby asked me to call my gynao immediately. i said as i didnt have pains in my vagina - i'll not disturb her at 10.30pm. as i stay with my in laws he asked me to ask his mother. i didnt do that also as i dont want to disturb as they retired to bed only that time.

yesterday morning i spoke to my mom in phone and she told me it might be due to excessive body heat and if i drink jeera water and avoid much intake of salt, then things might cool down.

i updated the same to my hubby. he was so particular that i shd get it clarified by my gynao. but could not reach her. yesterday it became ok. today i didnt feel it at all. so i thought i'll not ask my gynao and assumed that its a natural process of my uterus getting tuned to delivery. however my hubby is bit worried abt my health. (eventhou with in myself i always hv the fear for pre term labour and C-section)

so i wanted to clarify with u archie - whether this is natural as i am more comfortable with u eventhou i hv not seen u.

and another point i wanted to ask u - actually as i blood clot during my 7th week, i was advised to take bed rest and it disappeared (as per scan report)after 10+ weeks. but i continued my bed rest till 12-13 weeks.

so i was asked by gynao to take the foll tablets from 7th week:

1. susten 100 g
2. Duvadilan
3. Gestin
4. Folvite

Susten - i was asked to take one twice a day(one intake and one inserted in vagina), duvadilan 1/2 thrice a day, gestin one twice a day and folvite - one per day.

and after completion of 13 weeks, i was asked to take:

susten 100g - 1 - 0 - 0
duvadilan - 1/2 - 0 - 1/2
Gestin - 0 - 0 - 1
Folvite - 1 - 0 - 0

after completion of 4 months, i was asked to continue the above with inclusion of following:

Hiron (Ion tablets) - 1- 0 - 0

after completion of 5 months i was asked to continue all the abive 5 with addition of following:

Pro-Pl - drink for brain and heart development of the baby

after completion of 6 months now, i am asked to stop susten and folvite. susten - she said is to avoid miscarriage and folvite is folic acid tablet.

however she has asked me to add:

Calceum 1-0-0

my question is y am i asked to take duvadilan 1/2 tablet twice a day thru out. will iy have side effects?

as this is my first pregnancy, i know my anxiousness and doubts are going beyond my limits.

but pls clarify.

thanks
saradha

sounds not uncommon, let your spouse know things would get more anxious as you near the term. The more you get anxious will affect the hormonal balance and body may not respond as it should, raising C-section possibility.

Its good to be alert but not overly alert. feeling baby down at vaginal area is normal and so is normal to feel it up to your ribcage.

It has nothing to do with fetal position, baby could still be breech but has plenty of room to move around organs and exert pressure.

Heat may not even be the reason, just a normal part of pregnancy. Good you did not call your OB at that hr.

However you should if you did not feel movement on routine pattern even after drinking cold sweet juice and sleeping on left side for 30 minutes, you should bother is blood is there or any accidents.

I think with duvadilan you are not supposed to worry for preterm, its not going to happen. You will however have to stop Duvadilan from 36 weeks.

Some of the medication is overly used in your case and might have been in best interest so lets not talk whats bygone but try to avoid duvadilan from 36 weeks onward or from the end of 8th month. Otherwise delivery will not occur naturally.

protein and calcium are useful so is iron tablet. folate and susten are not required anymore, check for autoclase.

archie,

thanx da. i shall stop worrying too much. moreover i am bit ok now as i will be completing 28 weeks and chance of baby survival is more after this stage.

and i have my baby shower function on 29th of this month and i'll be moving to my mom's place after that. i think that should cool me down more.

now i am making my mind open for any delivery as i understand that if i am so keen on any particular mode of delivery, then if others happen - then i may feel upset which i dont want.

so from this moment - i shall look at things more positively. thanx dear. let me not trouble myself and my little one by getting more excited or tensed.

thanx again.
