Baby Club July-September 2007:diet and development

hi everybody,
thanks for your replies.
I have to first of all let u all know that my baby girl is allergic to milk. She has got lactose intolerance. So we give her soya milk and no regular is milk is given o her. Her diet is as follows:

Breakfast: cornflakes with milk or 1 slice brown bread at 8.30 am
Midmorning snack – 1 egg grated.
Lunch rice khichidi with some meat or fish and veggies (all grated)
Evening one or two bananas
Dinner daliya with mung dal with veggies.

In between she has 300 ml of milk. At sleeping time she has 120 ml of milk and she wakes up at 2-2.30 am to have another round of milk (120 ml)

Kindly advise whether this diet is alright for her. Her weight is 8.50 and doctor is very happy with her height. She has not started walking. Stands with support. One or two words like mama, kaka, baba etc.

Recently she has started teething. Has altogether stopped eating. All meals are a challenge now. Cries a lot. Giving her homeopathic medicines. She has also developed red small eruptions all over her body. We are not sure whether these are prickly heat or not.

Kindly advise.

Regards

hi piya, the diet looks good to me and if the doc thinks that the growth is good, then u dont need to worry at all.

Kids generally become fussy when they are teething..so, dont worry, its just a phase and will be over soon..
i am not sure abt the rashes, ur daughter may have reacted to the homeopathic medicines or cud be something else. please consult a doc...

take care and keep us posted..

First of all i would like to thank u for adding me as a memeber in Orkut club. please let me know how do i see all the msgs regarding child development.

Regarding my daughter´ s rashes it turned out ot be simple prickly heat as per the doc. Thank god nothing to worry. She is still very fussy about eating. Hope this phase passes soon.
