Hair Care:soft,straight,velvety and oily hair

I have a very soft,straight,velvety hair. thin hair. I have to wash it everyday otherwise it becomes oily. How do I avoid this oilyness so that I can wash it only once in 2-3 days (as I am facing heavy fairfall?)
