hi all, i just weaned nirja successfully. its been 25 days, she has not asked for a single feed even when she was fussy in teething.but i m having some concerns. until 12 hours, its ok for me to feel comfortable, after that,i get engorgement or feel full. and i have to pump milk. if i dont, it gets worst.even though the qty of milk is not that much like before i had, i have to empty it every 12 hours. and now when i have weaned her, i really dont want to do it.kind of you can say, i dont want to do it.
does neone have ne tips on it.what you all did after weaning.
shortly after nirja 1st bday, i am planning for another baby so that i can finish my delivery before i finish my practise, which is exact 1.5-2 years.i was just wondering, if neone knows how long milk supply continues and how it will disturb my plans for conceiving again.
in some websites i read that milk supply goes off after 1.5 years, and then if i get pregy right away,then, my dr might tell me to wait more and put me on all kinds of vitamins and prenatals to prepare me for another pregnancy.it might take a month or 3.
waiting would be difficult for me to catch up with my thesis or theory later on with nirja and another baby,,if i miss the timings i mentioned..

hey priya, when are you planning, remember we talked to join new board again,,i know it was for fun,,but wat are ur plans.sometime back too you talked about it.how are you calculating.

i dont where my cell is. nirja ws comng in btwn whle cookng, so i gave her my cell to play nd i dont knew where she kept now ! again its lost.xams ma silent mukyo hato to didnt bother to put it bk to normal so cant find it,it keeps ringing in silent ! evening ws my xams,so wssnt at home,got ur voicemail.

Hetal jaya replied. hi hetal,kem chae.tu yaar ahi hu matakut karae chae.i read all.chal anyway,wat ur asking,i know this.writing some in gujurati.tu haji suva khaai chae.havae bandh kari dae. since you said you are planning shortly consult a gyn now itself. let her decide about it. about milk supply, strech the pumping time slowly and take it to 24 hours. once you will reach there it will take 2-3 days to get that in cycle. and then after 2-3 days you will not feel engorgement or full.. the earlier you can put yourself test to it the better it would be for you. this will also prevent you further from early prenatals. because as far as i know you, you dont need any medication this time as well. but because you had first pregnancy with nirja at 8lbs and you are still xpressing milk ur dr might put you on medication.
also eventually down the line in 1-2 month you will b able to feel good even after 2-3 days.
and watever you are pumping, freeze that milk. it will b useful when nirja is sick. it has alot of benefits.
i had same problems with my 2nd son. i weaned him at 1yr.8months.it was pretty late but he was very particular about it. if you rem i tried putting even sudarshan on the nipple to avoid him to ask feeds. i tried other medicines that dr gave,all worked after 3 months.i did the same i told you and it eventually stopped.
