I read you give to your daughter paratha. As we are Gujju we make prathas often but never gave it to mt baby. How do you give ? Is she able to chew without teeth? Do you give chapati too?

Radha is already 10 months old. And she has 4 teeth since she is 7.5-8 months old. We started giving her chapati and paratha about 1-1.5 months back.

Still one cannot chew with only 4 teeth, so we feed her really tiny tiny bites. She does the chewing action so I guess she first softens the bite with saliva and then chews with her gums. Now we give her little bigger pieces also.. And yes, firstly we used to take one very small piece of chapati and tried to break it into even finer pieces with our fingers before feeding it to her.

Some people do another thing: take chapati and dry grind it in mixie and add little milk, sugar to it to make paste and then feed baby. You can try that.
Radha never liked that, but thankfully she is having it as it is, so even better.

I have realized that we worry little too much and think that this or that food item that we have, will not be ok for baby etc.. Babies actually like variety and they say after 10 months one should anyway start giving to baby what other family members are having, so that at one year baby can have same food as we do (only with less spices, no other conditions).

Depending upon your baby's age you should decide and no harm in trying diff things sometimes once bay is 7-8 months old.
