Hi,

I have been wanting to post this update for last one week, but was just not getting the time.

Ishu has turned 7 months last saturday(oct7) and she is crawling and now standing on her own holding the furniture. she is crawling all over the house, under the dining table, chairs though the most favourite place is going under the coffee table. When i try to pull her out from under the coffe table, she holds on to it tightly and screams as if she is angry at me....:-)). Comes behind me everywhere and loves to play with the plastic jars in the kitchen.

She has started standing up on her own holding a very low seating i have (it about one feet high). She loves to stand there and then tries to takes steps sideways and drags herself if i keep some toys on the seating, little out of her reach.So its just not possible to leave her alone now as sometimes she would fall backwards on her head.

She is screaming a lot, neighbours have started talking baout it. Keeps saying ya-ya, va-va all the time. She blabbered na-na-na and ba-ba-ba only once and guess now she has forgotten that.

She has got two teeth, not so cranky these days.(touchwood). On the solids front not much change in her diet, give her solids 2 times a day and sometimes thrice, lactogen(2) once a day and rest of feeds are still BM. I have started giving her daliya(broken wheat), and she loves it.

I have her ped's appointment on tuesday, will get her height weight checked then.

I want to add some more variety to her food. Any suggestions on what else can be given. Right now i am giving her rava porridge, rice dal with veggies(all pureed together), ragi moong dal and rice porridge, cerelac ,daliya and fruits(chickoo, apple, papaya and banana).

What else can be added to their diet at this stage.

Paddoo, what you had written about all babies in the same month contest, i agree with you completely, only if it was possible to that. All the babies are so cute and i would have voted for all of them if that was possible.

What are other babies on the board upto? Do post their updates whenever you all get time.These little budles of joys are keeping us on own toes these days.....

Re Daliya i pressure cook daliya with little water first. Then puree it and add lukewarm milk and 1/4 tsp ghee in it. To make daliya little sweet i add 1-2 dates into it while cooking it. You could alternatively add mashed banana into it(though not while cooking). While adding banana make sure milk is not hot otherwise it will get curdled.

Re fruits i dont combine all fruits.i give her only one fruit at a time in the morning.

Good to see your post. Archana and you are the people who've progressed much on the food part!!

How do you give her daliya? Just cooked and mashed with fruits? And do you put ALL fruits at once into any dish?

I frankly am confused whether Kich's diet is Ok or not and what has made his sleep patterns to get wierd again.. That's my update.
