Hi girls,
Till now i was reading other birth stories, now I am so happy to share my birth story with u guys. I was's due until 12th Dec, but suddenly on Nov 28th I had mucous plug discharge around 10 am. I was surprised and confused also, since my dr did my internal that week, and said I wasn't dialated at all and won't deliver until 6th dec for sure.
Then my mild contrations started, but it wasn't paining much. Around 12noon, I sat to eat lunch but couldn't sit and eat. I drank jeera water (thinking if it was fake it would go away) but it didn't. Then I paged my dr., and she told me to time the contrations. This time my pains started from lower back and at the bottom. It came around 7 minutes apart. I called my dr. back and she told me to come to the hospital.
We went to the hospital, the nurse checked me, I was 3 cms dialated, and the dr said that I would deliver anytime by midnight. I was so surprised!! My husband was in Arizona, he knew about my contrations. As soon as the dr told me, he got his tickets and came to Houston.
I wasn't going to take the epidural, but trust me the pain is unbearable. I took the epidural at 5pm. Trust me girls, it's so much relief to take it, you don't feel any pain. Once you decide to take the epidural, they'll do your blood test, send it to the lab. The results take about 20-30 mins. After that they'll page the anestisio person, and they'll give it to you. The whole process takes around 30 minutes. So if you decide to take it, please take it early. You can't take it once you pass 9cms.
At 7pm, I was 7cms dialated, the baby was helping a lot. The dr. broke my water bag. I was 10 cms dialated around 8:30 pm, and then dr told me to push, and within 3-4 tries my little angel was out. It was a normal delivery with epistisio. Didn't feel any pains bcuz of the epidural. She was born on her grandfather's birthday :)
