Due Date Club November 2003:No progress !

writing to u after a long time...
my due date is 24 nov. On my last appt which was on 4 nov..i was 1/2 cm dialeted and baby is still not in birth position. She have to come down more.On next appt which was on 11 nov we were expecting progress but ...! no more dialation and baby still have to come down . Doc said to take walk for an hour daily so it will help the baby to come down. But its hard to walk for an hour continously i divided it as half an hour in the morning and half an hour on the evening ......hoping that it will help!on coming appt which is on 18 nov we r going to discuss about induce labour as per doc's advice. I am very nervous as i want to go with normal labour.Dont know whats going to happen....
Doc said that water can brake at any time between these days....! I am hoping for the best...

I am not regular member of this site. Today i was just browsing this web site n saw nov club as we r also expecting in nov. and strenge thing is my due date is also 24 nov. my name is pranjali. As i saw similar name i opened your message. I am also very eager to see my baby. On my 4 nov apt with doc he said that my cervex is getting thiner which is a good sign. on 11 nov apt he said its 50% thiner, no sign of dilation though. he said normally first time dilation occurs when labor starts. and on my next apt that is on 18 nov he said same thing that we will talk @ inducing labour. I am quite anxious. But since my birthdate is on 27 nov, i want to have natural date of birth of my baby. My doc says he will wait for a week after my due date. so if nothing happen he will have to do somthing around 28 nov. will see. i think you should not worry about it. its not neccesary that everybody deliver 2 weeks b'for ddate. and we sure do have 1 n 1/2 week to go. so labour can happen anytime. Relax n enjoy last days of u'r pregnancy. n think that baby is not ready to come early she will come on RIGHT time.

Don't worry

Hi Pranjal,

First of all, congratulations on having a baby girl. I am sure your cutie pie is eager to meet mommy dear too.

Since doctor has advised you to go for induction on 21st, I am sure he/she has plenty of good reasons for the safety of you and your baby. I bet everything will turn out as you expect. Moreover, the baby seems very healthy. That's what we all want.

I've asked my doctor indirectly to induce me, but she is not too keen to do that as the fundal height seems a little smaller. So, I'll have to wait till December 1st week.

Your birthday is approaching soon. Wow, you and your cutie pie share the same month. If I deliver on my due date, then my little cutie and you will share the same birthday. How nice!

Good luck for 21st and I'll be waiting to hear the good news from you. You take care and enjoy the four days being pregnant. You'll be missing the movements soon.

Another 2 days of waiting!!

Hi vindhya,
I had my docs apt today. From previous apts he was saying that baby is growin faster which will make hard for me to deliver the baby. and since there is no progress in cervex dilation. or no sign of labour, he suggested that we should go for induction on this friday 21 nov. so as there is no use of waiting we decided to go for it. he said its up to me we can wait another week. but since baby is growing week by week its good to take early action.
Little bit scared n more exited We are waitng for the Big Day.
Hey u got my b'day as u'r due date. thats ok normally more than 50% go into labour past their due date.
I don't have any choice for normal or c-section as long as everything is good with baby n whole process(delivery) is faster for me :). Recovering from both kind of deliveries i think take some time so no worries at all. Eager to see my cutie pie.

Hi Pranjal,

I agree that everybody's pregnancy is different and as long as the baby is fine, yes, we should not worry too much. For some reason, I have a feeling that I will not go into labor before my due date. Let's hope for the best.

Hi vindhya,
Thanks! I am from Canada(windsor).I saw many of my friends delivered baby 2 weeks b'for their ddate. and i thought the same thing. Any way its not same with everybody.Everybody's Pregnancy is quite diffrent. And as long as everything is good with baby we should not worry much. our doc knows whats best for us. So another 1 week to go. But its really hard in last weeks.
