Due Date Club November 2003:My story..

Hi all!!
I have still not got over from the all the problems that I got when my sweet baby girl was born.I started having pains which were nothing more than menstrual cramps from saturday evening.I waited at home for the pains to increase, but the pains were of same intensity till sunday night. So I was induced on monday morning. But after 5-6 hours of induction,my labour was not proceeding with only 2 cm dialation and no effacement. The doctor told me that she can take the risk till evening but there is no garuntee that I will have a normal delivery.I was worried about the cord on the baby's head,so we decided for a C-section then only.Baby had two cords tightly wound around the neck and head. After staying at hospital for 3 days ,when I returned home,My wound got opened due to travelling such a long distance from the hospital to home. There is a lot a of pain in the lower abdomen and back and I am not able to stand straight now.The biggest problem is that I am not getting enough breast milk, the baby remains hungry as the doctor is not encouraging to give formula milk. She is hopeful that I will start getting milk within few days, but I don't know how I am going to manage for these few days.I get into tears when I see my baby crying in hunger. Please pray for me.Congrats to all those who have delivered and best of luck to all of you who are waiting.
Jaya

Hi Jaya,

I am so sorry to hear about your whole experience. I wish you didn't had to travel that far from the hospital. Wish you a speedy recovery and hope your lower abdomenal pain goes away soon.

Regarding cord around the neck, it's good that you decided to go for the surgery. I would have done the same in your situation. I am glad that your sweet girl Anannya is safe now.

Regarding breast milk, follow a good diet. Hope your mom is around to help you. I am not sure why doctor would say to avoid formula when the baby is starving. I am sure there must a good reason. Hope you start nursing well soon. My prayers are with you.

My love to your baby,
Vindhya

Hey Jaya, Congrats again on your baby girl... I am glad she is out safe and sound...
I understand how worrying the trouble you are having with bf'ing must be for you... Just hang in there.. I am sure your doctor knows what's right and will surely keep your baby's best interests in mind...Baby's who get used to formula might end up not wanting breast milk..so that could be reason you doc wants you to hang on and wait for a little bit..
Moreover, I also read that babies usually need not more than 3 tablespoons of milk in the first few weeks...

stay strong...and enjoy your little miracle..

Diaper Service Provider,Bangalore
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.

Thanks in advance
