Is anyone here in Rh-negative blood type? Just wondering what precautions you have all undertaken due to negative blood group..

Even I have negative Rh factor and currently in my 17th week. In US they usually give the injection in 26 week and after the kid is born.I am little bit curious to know in what week you are?

i can' t help you first hand.. since i don' t have that problem. but my mom' s a gynac.. and i did ask her once.. for a friend.. and here' s what i know.

if you are Rh negative and your husband is Rh negative too.. then there is no problem.
if you are RH -ve and your Husbans is positive.. or vice versa... then the chances are that your baby' s blood is either +ve or -ve. if the rhesus of your baby is opposite to that od yours.. then because of the baby your blood will develop antibodies for the negative/positive rhesus ( whichever is the opposite) .. it does not cause any harm to your first baby. but if undetected it will kill any future pregnancies who have Rh +ve (or -ve.. whichever is opposite to your blood group)

however.. nowadays it is not a problem.. since if your doctor is aware of it, they will give you some kind of medication( an injection i think) which will kill the antibodies in your blood .. this is after your first baby is born.
hence.. according to my mom .. nowadays.. being of opposite rhesus is not a very big concern.. if you are aware of the fact!
