Name: Harsha B Yesterday I consulted my gynae with blood test reports. T3 T4 readings r higher than norma- she has suggested re-test. BP was low at 100/70- suggestion eat mmore which i am unable to do as i dont feel like eating...

Since last 2-3 days am feeling flutters i n my stomach..i am worried if everying is fine.

Does any one has any idea about what r effects of high T3 & T4?
Please mail me if anyone has any knowledge on this.

hi harsha!
hmm... i have hypothyroidism.. which is actually high TSH. i am not sure.. but high t3 and t4 must mean hyperthyroidism..
in any case.. it is best that your doctor knows... in which case.. if they think necessary they' ll give you medication for the same...
don' t worry.. lots of pregnant women develop thyroid related problems in pregnancy.. it is not uncommon.. and once it is detected.. it does not pose a risk.. it is the untreated thyroid which causes problem to the fetus.
it only means your thyroid needs to be monitored throughout pregnancy...
my doc m onitors mine every 2 months.. and sometimes my medicine dose needs to be changed... not too much of a prb!!!
so relax
i don' t know about flutters.... because since i got pregnant.. i' ve felt all kind of things in my stomach... and it can be anything from gas to the baby... i would' nt worry much..
hope your BP gets back to normal.. eat high salt food.. it is known to bring your BP up..( not a medical advice.. just my perception!!)

don´ t worry too much about yout thyroid.. let the docs do that!! and really.. eat healthy.. but atleast with hypothyroidism i know.... there is not much you can do with your diet to repair that... so relax... it just needs some medication!
and just take everything easy...

Thanx Ira. some words from u are a help indeed.
I will go for retest n then lets see what doc says. I hav increased my diet by includi ng high protein components- soya nuggets, roasted gram(bhune hue chane) as suggested by doc. Wish me good health.
