Hi All,

I delivered a baby boy on Oct 13th, Monday at 8:25 a.m. We named him Sahil. He is such a bundle of joy, and my husband and I are enjoying being new parents. My hubby cannot seem to put him down at all, it certainly is the most amazing experience.
On Sunday night, I started having contractions, went to the hospital at 7:30 p.m and they sent us back at 9:30 p.m since I was not dilated and my cervix was only 50% effaced. Got back home, and by midnight I was in horrible pain, with contractions still about 8 minutes apart. They had told us to start driving only if the contractions come down to being 5 min apart or less. By 4 a.m though, I was yelling in pain, and my husband decided that we are going in no matter what. Reached the hospital, and guess what, I was 10 cm dilated already!! I asked for an epidural and they said it was not necessary since I could have the baby immediatly....I still insisted on an epidural, so that I would enjoy the delivery and be in lesser pain. Push, push and Sahil said hello at 8:25 in the morning. We got to bring him home on Wednesday. There is a picture of him at our http(://)photos(.)yahoo(.)com(/)octobermoms

It was so good to read your experience, and seeing Sahil's pic. He is really really cute. Give my love to him.
The greatest achievment is you had the normal delivery without even taking the epidural. My doc also told that they don't prefer epidural after 6 cm dilation.

Congratulations..Finally some good news today in the forum..was wondering why no one was delivering on time.
Nice name and cute baby too..how much did he weigh? I wish u and ur husband the very best and a great time ahead as parents.
