Hi! I delivered a baby boy. My bundle of joy arrived on Nov.6th . My water broke on Nov 6th @1AM. My Contractions started immediately 6 minutes apart. we called the doctor and reached the hospital @ 2AM. after an hour of all the procedures and stuff, they checked for dilation and I was 4 cm dilated. My pains were very severe and I asked for epidural. Then, for some reason, the doctors could not inject anything in to my veins. So, finally after an hour, they could and they gave me epidural. But Afetr that I was not dilating that fast. And when I was @ 7 cm of dilation, my epidural stopped working. So, I went from 7 to 10 cm with out any epidural. I cannot tell u what I went thru. My husband was there with me all the time and the doctors again tried to give me epidural, but it took a lot of time. Finally, pushing started and I pushed for 2 hours. The doctor came to check me an d she said I need a surgery. I was surprised to hear that after going thru so much. But she said she strongly recommends a c-section. So, I was taken to the OT and then came my bundle of joy.
After the surgery because of so much strain, I developed a high fever. So, they kept me on IV antibiotics continuosly. I came home yesterday Nov 10th. It was such a releif to come home.

That's my story. My husband helped me so much thru delivery. He was there with me the whole time . Now we r enjoying our litle son. Best wishes to all of u who r still waiting and congratulations to everybody who already delivered.

Sorry to hear that you had to go through so much pain but ended up in a surgery. But it's all worth it and the doctor did what he/she thought was the right thing to do. I am sure you will recover soon.

Good to hear that it all started naturally. Regarding epidural, I used to think that it could be given easily. Thanks for the information.
