Currently i am in my 5th week of pregnancy expecting my second child. I have had missed abortion twice previously. I have one son of 3 yrs. Had one missed abortion at 3 months before he was born and once at 5 months after he was born. For that reason, doctor has advised me to take injection. I am excited abt my second baby, but scared also due to my past missed abortions. Wht precautions should i take and can this happen at any stage of pregnancy?

Hi Shilpa,

Welcome on board. Like Shalini and Siri said, keep a positive outlook and things will be alright.

Just take special care and follow your docs instructions. I know a girl here who has had 3 miscarriages and now has 2 healthy babies.

Thanks Siri & Shalini for being so encouraging. Its very sad hearing your case Siri, but lets be happy as God has given us another chance and take things as it comes. But how do u all cope of with the demands of the first child. My son is very much attached to me and wants me to to lift him sometimes and though having maids, for his work he does not allow anyone to do. Now its ok, but later I might find it difficult. Shalini have you told your daughter Saumya abt the new baby, Siri, wht abt u, did u try telling your son, though it must be to early to tell.

No I haven't told Saumya specifically that we are going to have a baby, I think its too early, once she'll get the idea, She'll want the baby NOW!!!
But I do ask her off and on...do you want to be a big sister. OR How do you kissy a baby.
My hubby plays a game with her saying lets treat Mamma as a chhota baby, and they give me hugs and kisses. Its very cute but she has no idea what's coming...

Don't worry Shilpa. Everything will be fine. Try to be happy and be more positive as shalini mentioned..

Here is my case. I have 3 year old son. He was born thru C-section. 6 months before I delivered a baby girl through C-section. She was there for three weeks and passed way because of some lung problem. You can imagine,how hard it would be. Trying my best to see if god can give her back and so I am due in Jun 07 again.

Think of my case and forget about the abortions and be happy to have a healthy child.

Since you had already had one C-section, did u have problems during the second time having C-section. I also devivered my first son by c-section. The second time when i got pregnant, i used to feel burning sensation in the skin around the sutures and a pulling sensation. Unfortunately i had an missedabortion in the 5th month, so did not experience further. Is there any number of times of having a C-section. Did u consult your doctor, since you alrealy have had 2 c-sections.

Don't worry too much, just be cautious. Follow doctors orders and try to keep bad thoughts away from your mind.
What happened in the past is over now, focus on future.
Am I sounding too harsh...I don't mean to. Focus on the positive things.
