I started giving Nihu cerelac + banana from 2 days,she took it well, but yesterday she had continous loose motions, guess banana did not suit her, had tough time as she was passing motions till night 3am, now I have stopped cerelac , and also stopped lactogen 2, giving her lactogen 1 only, will be visiting the doctor today , she was in so much pain coz the anal area became red , she is okay now, but feel so upset that we cannot feed solids for another 1 week,
Im not sure if this is because of teething, I read somewhere in this board that when they start getting their tooth they have green motions , any suggestions.

Vani replied. Dear Usha,

Even I think its something to do with the banana. But I used to give Rishi cerelac with banana and some milk and he used to take it. Don't worry, see what the ped says.

There is also cerelac wheat veggies - Stage 1 which is sweet and tastes good, rishi liked it. May be you can try that. Apply coconut oli on her anal area, that will soothe her from pain. Feel bad for Nihu. She will be alright soon.

Guess banana didnot suit her, check with the ped. too. I havenot tried cerelac with banana. My ped. had said me to start with cerelac wheat as it is digested easily, have just started with a scoop of cerelac rice. Was giving mashed banana, but with this tintu's motion contained lot of black threads, so stopped it for now.
planning to move on to home made food slowly.
Don't worry nihu will set in soon.
