Hi,

Baby Vicks works great for my baby. I just apply over her nose, forehead, neck and chest region. And she likes it too.

Regards,
Sheetal

Subject:  humidifiers and cross ventilation

dry stuffy nose is often because of dry weatherr or too much air conditioning or lack or less cross ventilation,,also could be because of old carpet,or ne of the allergies that babies might be sensitive to.. keep an eye on it.
nirja had that prob when we were in kansas, and often it happened to her esp in winters.
also, use of cool mist humidifierr will help., but if you are the place where its cold, warm mist ones will help !
also make sure during good weather you have cross ventilation in your place. mean to say, keep your windows open !specially in the early mornings and late evenings or nights, atleast 1 hour.. it will help.
for temporary relief from dryness with mucos, try using over th counter little noses saline drops. if you think or your dr is giving mediciines for allergy ( ask your dr ), then gving a good headbath followed by a good massage with some good soothing baby oil will help (at night, thats is atleast 1 hourr after dinner or just before sleep.)
c if this helps.
take care.

thanks, hetal, sheetal for advice.

sheetal, i tried vicks babyrub before going to my dr. everytime i applied rub, my dd cries loudly when i do that.
i asked my dr about babyrub being safe because she never cries like that when i apply that after her bath.
my dr said that not to apply ne chest rub or baby rub or vickrub for ne types of "dry" nose. He said, it gives burning sensation in dry nose. that is why she cries, so i stopped it.
Thanks, alot for inputs.
Hetal, what you said about ventilation, my dr said the same thing.i have already started doing it. i m planning to buy vicks cool mist humidifier,i hope its good one.
thanks for your inputs.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

HI Gayathri,

I used the puzzles, the wooden blocks for alphabets and numbers.... - Sheetal [View Message]
try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
