Hi,

I had my baby boy on the 5th of November (my due date). On 5th morning at 4:30 am while I was sleeping I felt a minor trickle. I woke up instantly and realised there was a bit of water. I called up the hospital and they asked me to observe till 8:00 am. At 8:00 I told them that my liner was mildly wet. They asked me to come for monitoring at 10:30 am. They had a look at my liner and told me that my membranes had actually ruptured but very mildly. My doctor was called and he put me on a drip of santocinon for induction of pains and contractionsalongwith foetal monitoring. I was on it for 7 hours from 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm but was only half a cm dialted and there were no routine contractions that I could feel, let alone strong ones. My doctor said there was no point in waiting as the membranes had been ruptured though mildly, but for over 16 hours and it said it was better to take the baby out while the baby was still healthy and not when there was no other choice and decided to the a caesarian. Till them I was laughing and taking it lightly and quickly took a shower before the c-section. I was given local anaesthesia and within 10 mts. I heard the baby cry. It was so unbelievable and almost brought tears into my eyes. It all looked like an exercise before that. The baby was cleaned and placed on top of me for a cuddle while my tummy was being cleaned and stiches were being put.Subsequently my baby was bathed and weighed and then brought to me for a feed. I can't describe how satisfying a feeling it is to feed your baby and see that settled expression on his face.

Holding your baby in your arms is most definitely the best feeling in the world. Good Luck to all of you who are yet to have your babies.

I am so glad to hear that everything went off so well. You actually delivered on your due date!!! I believe that happens only in 3% of the cases.

Anyway, what is your cutie's name, would love to see his pictures. Hope you recover soon from the stiches.
