Just thought I would keep you all updated about whats been happening with me...
Early last week, early in the morning at around 3 am, I had heavy bleeding, and had to be rushed to the hospital.
I am not getting into the specific details since i dont want any of you girls worrying.... suffice to say that the baby is fine, and all is well. the bleeding was becasue of a low placenta pushing and therefore stretching the uterus wall. its just that I have been asked to be on bed rest. thats the really irritating bit... I was waiting to get through with the first three months to go for a holiday and to see as many movies as possible. So guess, one shouldnt plan too much.
anyway all that matters is that the baby is safe :)
I was happy to read all the mails about tummy showing and baby movements... cant wait myself:)
bye mommies!

Lalitha replied. Hi mommies!
I am much better now, and except for slight spotting nothing more. Doc has asked me to go back to work, and here I am working for about half a day today. Of course, I am being very very careful :)
I read all the messages... replies to some of them...
Triple marker test - since i was in a very low risk category based on the NT scan, my doc has asked me to not to do the triple marker. I am 31 now, going to be 32 next week. My doc is the kind who does even ask for an extra scan unless abs necessary. Are most others docs advising a triple marker?
Regarding what to eat - I am trying to have the following: Greens everyday and prunes (for iron), mid meal snacks - dry fruits, sandwiches (while it is ideal to have fresh cucumber, tomoato, paneer etc with chutney, I believe in eating for taste, so I make sandwich with some yummy sabjis like potato onion, or onion tomata capsicum, or paneer burji, etc). or I put in some salsa sauce with veggies and a slice of cheese and grill the sandwich). Yoghurt with fruits - I ask my cook to chop some juice fruit every - orange deskined, pomegranate, strwberry, banana, etc, add it to thick curd and have a cup ful of that. today evening' s snack is paneer aloo tikki. the mixture is ready, I have to only pat it and shallow fry it on the tawa. Of course milk twice a day.
Not that i dont eat anythign healthy-every once in a while i eat some fried oily snack and repent after that!
By the way, Riya there is a tarla dalalbook for pregnant woemn- i saw it in the bookshop long back and it looked quite good.
Showing - yes, i am showing when i wear my fitted Tshirts at home. of course, to work I have shifted to my relatively looser kurtis and salwars.more than anything, i can feel my tummy and the sides become quite taut - it is not soft like when you put on a paunch.
Thats enough said from my end...
Bye, love, Lalitha
Riya replied. hi lalitha
i can imagine how shocked you must have been.. even i had bleeding in the 4th wk of my pregnancy and i had assumed it was implantation bleeding but after my 12th wk scan my doc told me i had a low lying placenta and that could be the cause of my spotting..so now i have to make sure i don' t aggravate the condition further by overstraining myself..
the doc also said generally the placenta migrates further up by the 22nd week so u should be good to travel by then..
all the best.. praying for u and baby
Tejasree replied. Lalitha I hered that this is quite common in 1st trimister of pregnency dont worry every thing will be fine.By the grace of god baby is safe we would thank full to God.I think u must take lot of rest and here after u feel very comfort than the 1st trimister.we are always here to share ur thngs.
sara replied. well its quite normal to hav bleding in 1st trimester, i m sure u r doing jus fine now n b veri thankful to god that the most precious thng is doing gr8 well they do scare moms n tell them to take it easy in their own ways, forget that episode n enjoy pampering by hubby n family n this rest u wont get after deliveri so make d most of it...
madhu replied. Lalitha I can understand all the emotions u must be going through right now. But all that matters is that the baby is fine, right. The pregnancy is like a roller coaster ride,I' m sure that U will come out of this phase and enjoy the rest of ur pregnancy very soon.
It is always better to take lots of rest and not stress out a lot about all this. I have heard that the low lying placenta gradually migrates upwards during the next few months. So, do not worry. U will enjoy the rest of ur pregnancy to the fullest....:) I' m pretty sure about that.
