Hope you had a great last day at work and are looking forward to getting lots of rest and relaxation time... and hope you had a great time at your bosses party... dont worry, you willl go back to work sooner than you want to....


I called the radiology dept today and they say that the earliest I cant come in for an Ultrasound is the 13th...she couldn't get me on sooner even after I told her that my due date was the 14th.... still recovering from the shock that they are so darn nonchalant about it....

Hi Avi,

The appointment was uneventful except for the one single contraction that the NST had recorded out of the entire hour I was on it. But, actually I haven't been experiencing any of them lately. I guess, I don't feel them as they are painless.

Doctor said that the baby would be dropping in a few weeks. What! in a few weeks? I am just three weeks away from my due date.

How is it going for you? Hope you deliver by the 13th so you dont have to go through the ultrasound.

Did you buy your hospital gown. If so, where did you buy it, even I am looking for one.

Hi Avi,

Sorry to hear about your situation. Don't give a damn about everyone's comments. The only comments you should care about is your hubby's and doctor's.
People should understand that these things are not under our control.

Yesterday, we went out shopping but had to come back as it was raining cats and dogs. I 'll check out Mervyn's as there is one near my place. Hope you find the gown too.

contraction - painless or otherwise is a great sign indeed that the uterus is doing its job... so that was a good thing Vindhya...

Nothing here for me....everything is just as it was a few weeks back...so looks like I will waiting for a while...
my parents are starting to talk about me not delievering yet and so are my relatives (on the phone)... and I've been dealing with the effects of all their comments...and trying to be patient...
I was in no mood to go out yesterday to shop...it was raining and I was feeling kinda down...might go today... Mervyn's had some ok looking sleepwear, so was going to go check it out and see if I can find a hospital gown....

Target had some robes..so will go there too if I am up for it this afternoon.....

Hope your weekend has been better than mine...

Good luck on your appointments with your docs. I have known of many friends (in India) who in their last appt with the doc( just before due date appts) were being asked to check into the hospital,because moms had already started dialiting and didn't experience any pains. So...jus telling you folks to be ready ( i am sure we all have been since long now)...but facing the actual checking-in and delivery is altogether a different thing.

Gud luck moms and do keep us updated.

Avi, if I don't catch u that early in the morning, then surely can catch you after dinner time around 3-4 hrs later, so around 12 -1 pm ur time.

Hi Avi. My drinks session with boss and colleagues, went well. NO, I didn't have alcohol. I had juice and more juice! Got lovely flowers, didn't expect from male boss but he did well. Lovely card with all the colleagues in my dept and few others too in the other location office, was quite overwhelmed. Didn't get vouchers, but a chq, will pay in the a/c n get baby stuff after the babes arrives. So quite chuffed with the last day scenario. Will take some time to relax, as I have been up since 7am and working like mad, hyperactive like you I guess. Anyways, hoping to get the hospital bag ready today and then will have all the time to chat to you online. Let me work out the time, well I can be online till 5pm my time, so that is 1700 hrs - 0800 hrs = 9am your time, i would have thought. r u able to come online earlier than 9, say around 8:30, which ever day u can, i will be online till that time so will catch u then.
Of course all this planning has no meaning if either of us go in to labour...:-)
My doc appointment is usually on monday but this coming week it is on Thursday, 13th. So let's see how it goes. Thx for the wishes.
Good luck for ultrasound. I'm sure all will be well with the babes.
