Hello everybody
I'm newly married(2 months) and have a missing cycle. We have taken 3 home pregnancy tests and results were negative. I'm 3 days ovedue otherwise I have reglar periods. I'm confused and need some feedback. We don't want to plan a baby so soon and both are worried. How far do you think we can rely on the home tests in this case??? any suggestions.
Thank u all
sweety

Hi,

It is very much natural to get the periods overdue. Even I had my periods very much regular before marriage. But after marriage, there are lot of changes occuring in woman's body. Changes like harmonal level, stress levels etc.
This is the phase to get adjusted to the new surroundings, new people, new experiences. There is also some sub-conscious mental pressure. Even though you might be knowing the boy and his relatives very nicely, or you may be staying seperate, still there are tremendous harmonal changes occuring inside us. The nights are curious, might be hectic, or might be enjoyable.

Because of all these factors, the periods might get affected. It takes time for every lady to get adjusted to the new suroundings.

So stay relaxed. you will have regular periods after about 4 to 5 cycles.

I was also worried EXACTLY the way you are. And if either of you had taken proper precaution, then there is nothing to worry about. right?

keep in touch!

Hi,
I think periods late by 3days should not be a cause of worry.Periods get delayed due to many other reasons. So wait for a week or so and then consult a doc.

I think you should consult a doctor soon and get a blood test done. But late periods could be because of the weather or some other reason also. But the best things to do is to get a blood test it will give you the correct answer.
