Due Date Club November 2003:my appt. update

Hi!
I had my doc. appt. today and the doc. checked for dilation. I am 1 cm dilated. Thank God! the dilation started. But don't know when is the big day. Still 10 more days to my due date.

Vindhya, Doc. did not tell me anything about effacement and I forgot to ask her specifically about that. But in my record, she wrote 1/50. I am GUESSING that means it's 50% effacement probably . In my next appt. I will ask the Doc. regarding that. But Hopefully I want to deliver before my next appt. Just can't wait to see the baby.
Simmi, Thanks for ur wishes. Simmmi if I am not wrong, we both r due on same date right?

Hi Suma. U r right, we r due on the same date. Though my doc didn't talk about effacement or dilation, so no clue how ready I am. She did say she will see me on the 13th if nothing happens before that to discuss induction. Let's hope we both go in to labour before or on 14th and all goes well.

Hi Suma,

I am sure you would have effaced 50%, as they say that for first-timers, effacement begins before dilation. So, you are right on track. Like you said, hope you deliver by your next appointment.
