Chaitra replied. Hi priya,
Anika also doesn't eat gerber foods. She just likes organic tender harvest mangoes & the bananas. For wholesome meals, she prefers homemade rather than store bought jarred foods. After a while, some babies just stop eating gerber foods.Try giving him homemade khichdi pureed & add asafoetida or a bit(a teeny tiny pinch) of jeera powder for flavour,he might like it.

Hetal replied. hi,
like i said before, keep trying. this wont happen at once. i agrree with sheeja,,they take time to learn. acutally i tried those dinner..she litterllay spitted them out,,didnt take them at all.. as soon as they touch her tongue, she makes all faces and push it out of mouth !
so i tried mixing some chunks of tofu in it, and she took it,,and it was understood she doesnt like paste or even granular,,she is not able to identify which one to chew first in case she gets many tiny pieces..
so i removed all the pieces and kept 1 tofu small piece per bite,,she was ok with it.. so try it that way
1st 1 piece, after couple bites, 1piece with paste like and after couple bites, 2 smal pieces,,and likewise...
no need of teeth,,forget about it ! until 1 year, they dont need to use it neway.
give him practise, do it slowly..after fruit puffs, try soft overcooked pieces of vegetables,,cut them to same size..i did same for nirja,..eventually they demand for bigger ones..
take care

sheeja replied. I already told u that u need to do this gradually. Also there is no work for teeths over here. They can chew only when they get their back teeths. See Trisha has 6 teeths, but she cant chew with her front teeths. Its not possible for us too.
Right now i guess, stage 3 wud be fine for him as it is thicker in texture. Babies are differnt, so it will take time for some babies. we cant rush them to swallow pieces. Its all their own skill, let Dylan take some time and practice.
Once he masters taking fruits puffs then u can go for lil coarse texture(like rawa texture) and need to go gradully from there.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
