Hi,
Neelima has already made some good suggestions. I would like to add some more-saffron[just a couple of strands] in milk from 3rd mth onwards, 1 fig a day, 2-3 soaked and peeled almonds. Pl avoid papaya, mayonnaise, raw salads and fruits in restaurants. While eating spinach or any other iron rich foods, drink orange juice as it helps in iron absorbtion.

hi Sonia,
congrats...please follow the below
1) have lots and lots and lots of water.This is must to keep infections at bay.u ould have to go pass urine frequently due to this but..dont avoid water
2) drink lots of orange juice.
3) ask your doctor a good folic acid tablet..daily 1
4) as your dopctor one good multivitamin tablets.
5) for good brain and eye development o your baby have omega 3 fatty acids tablets from mow on till the 6th month of your baby
6) avoid coffe, colas strictly
7) eat palak, apricots, dhannima, banana
8)most im-portant dont lift weights..go for an evening walks...do good breathing excercises.
9)go to your doctor on the scheduled a[ppointment time..do not miss it..
undergo all the tests required.

Thanks neelima but I have a question about omega 3 fatty acids that it is a fish oil but I am a vegetarian .Do we get it in veg form also.Alos I have heard that coconut water is very good in pregnancy and I am in US(CA) and getting fresh coconut water is not that easy.
What is dhannima?
