And there were many friends who had been thru all this before. They just asked me which month & some of them were surprised that i was showing so much. but after that answer i didnt get a chance to speak anythin. O my God! all of them wanted to talk just about how they felt & experienced when they were preg. Although some were preg 3 or 4 years back & some had even 2 babies. So i just keep wondering that though we r so busy in our world, this is the most important stage to a woman. Though a woman goes thru so much troubles, she can never forget this experience ever in her life. She is always excited to talk about it & cherish the memories. Priya, where do u get ur maternity clothes fm? In case u have Motherhood there, do visit this week. They have a good sale going on. I bought some dresses fm there. I think we all shud keep in touch even though we will be fine now & have fewer probs. I have startd to feel the baby but it happens only some times in the day, especially when i am sleeping. Nikki I am also showing now a days and people do ask me same questions again and again, I have not felt the baby yet. I was telling it to the doctor and doctor told me that u can feel only after a month or so.
One of my friend who was 7months peregnant had lots of pains and discharge last week.
She was admitted to hospital and then was kept under obeservation. Doctors are trying there best to keep the baby inside and let it grow. She is now home on bed rest. She has to eat some tablets. It was a bit discouraging for me. In the US premature babies is very common. But when u hear about anyone close really feels scared.
It seems she might now have proper weight gain in proper time/ might have definciency in iron, Calcium etc. There can be 100 reasons. But girls do take care of Urself.

I got some Salwar Khamis from india with my SIL. It is allwoed in my office to use thoes so my job is easier now.
I saw Amercian Desi last weekend. It is lots of fun to see. Not as good as Hydrabad Blues was. But nice time pass.
Nikki I was a bit busy for last 2-3 weeks at work, and also was getting very tired soon so could not send any mesages!

I am pregnant for the first time and the baby is expected around September 12th.
I am living in Hyderabad for the last 7 months though my roots are in Calcutta where my parents and in-laws live. I am working as a trainer in a software firm and husband works in GE-Capital here in Hyderabad.
I am in my fifth month now. I was already tremendously overweight when I became pregnant thanks to the combined effect of a year in USA after my marriage April 1999 to April 2000 in Connecticutand 6 months of birth control pills. I ballooned from 68 kgs to 90 kgs !!!!! I reduced to 84 kilos when I concieved. Then reduced further to 81 kilos after my first trimester as I was constantly throwing up. Now my weight is rising slowly.
I have recently been advised a test called TIFFA. Does anyone know what that means ? I will be grateful for any help in this regard.
Looking forward to hearing from all of you. And by the way since I have joined so late, I am eager to know something about all of you. Please do give a short intro mentioning the following. I think it wil be really helpful.

Niki, they got their visa last week. I cant wait for their arrival. Also I felt baby move around 20wks when i felt hungry. These days I feel the baby move almost all the time except when he/she is taking a nap. btw when do you go for you U/S. Priya, Im really glad to know everything went well at the U/S. I want to go back for one more but i dont think they would let me, it was such a amazing experience. In about couple of weeks youll start feeling the baby move. Btw so nice for you, you can wear salwar to work. Anupama, so cute of your son, a girl baby would make yours a perfect family. My wishes to you. Arpana, for tummy-itch try to apply some aloe oil or some vitamin-E cream. It not only helps from itching can also reduce the appearance of stretch marks, this was my doctors suggestion. Regarding the test which is asked to do..I have not heard the name yet. But in the US they do something called as AFP test which is a blood test and should be done in 16th to 20 th week. It is for the spinal Cord and mental disorder checking for the child. Why dont u ask the doctor about the test?
Vidhya, good to know about ur parents.I am waiting to feel the baby. Sometimes I do feel something but then i feel that it is just a stomach pain.. is that the baby move??
niki replied. HI everyone. Jyoteeta, i m nikita, working as a housewifethe most toughest job to do in US at New jersey. At presenst i am so very much concerated on the new happening of my life that i am having interest mostly in knowing about baby books, baby music, baby foods etc. Besides i love travelling & going to new places which also has reduced greatly. At home i love cooking, growing small plants, flower arrangements & painting. Now What about urself? Vidhya, i am happy for u that u will be with ur parents soon. Then i suppose u will not have enough time to post messages. Well u said U did shifting, Was it not a problem for u? Even we R planning top shift but i am very scared about packing things. As u said if u already have a boy, a girl will make a complete family. One of the friend in CA delivered twins & its 1 boy & 1 girl.Lucky She. I had one U/S during 16th week & then the dr asked me if i wanted to do one lastweek for midterm but i was no kinda prepared to go for one so soon. Tomm is her appointment & i ve completed 20 weeks so may be she will refer one tomm. Priya, good that u can wear salwars. But somehow i have a prob on the tummy to wear pyjama, pants etc/ i feel very uncomfortable & so i prefer just long or short frocks.Once in a while i wear salwars. Ya even we felt Hydrebad Blues was much a better movie. So Do U have any plans to visit this side Vidhya & Priya? Or have U been to NYC, nj, Washington etc before? Any plans for spring vacation? I wanted to go to see the cherry blossom this weekend but i think my dh cant get leave & it is hectic to go & return in weekend so next year may be. Here everywhere the spring colors have started comin & small buds are appearing. It is cute to see that. I was getting lot of urge to eat Indian Chinese & was not finding it proper taste so i started preparing at home & enjoying that now. Does anyone get urges for certain food? Anupama replied. I am feeling like drinking lot of water these days. And hence my sleep is disturbed every 2-3 hrs in the night and I have to goto bathroom.. after I come back from bathroom I drink one glasss of water.

Ya it feels great if anyone asks which month or which dr. my dh also tells me that i am just waiting for someone to speak a work about baby & i start with my own story even if the other lady is not interested. I was telling him to keep it a secret untill 3rd month but i cudnt wait. I kept telling anyone & everyone i met. yest was my appointment & this month ive to go for midterm u/s & also some blood test. will register for lamaze classes & also register in hospital for delivery. what about U? R U planning for lamaze or no? did u have holiday for easter?take care & have a great weekend

I did some shopping of materniety cloths this weekend. The cloths are really comfertable.
I had a long weekend! So had enough rest. Yeah we are planning for the classes. But yet to get the oppoinment. We shall do it sometime this week.
I am getting bored as we have not gone out side this bay area for last 4 months. Coming weekened we are thinking of going to some near by place. Yeah now since my health is OK i am getting these ideas of driving outside !! Anyways, HAve a good week girls.

Even i am waiting to go our somewhere. But ive taken up web design classes which R every sunday for next 6 weeks & i cant miss them. So we have only saturday. It is really boring!! But i am also not very confident about going anywhere by flight. Does that happen to U? Even though i am healthy i feel scared to go far off places. I wonder how they say Plan Ur last Honey moon right now BTW, i was surfing the Amazondot com & saw some cool CDs for the baby. One of the Disney CD has lovely nursery rhymes which the baby will enjoy, & perhaps even Parents. Just Check it out. Have U started window shopping for car seat,Crib etc?? R U planning baby shower?
