well ur reply to Raj over biscuit feeding helped me too...as I was feeding Marie biscuit to my little one...no wonder he likes it...the sugar must be making it yummy. Santhosh has been aoor eater of his rice ceral, either mixed with water or formula or bm. so i tried this and only if there is a substantial amt of biscuit does he eat it...
he likes his banana, guess it is sweet, and his apple...ok so far. today planning to start off on carrots and the other healthy stuff.
My hubby's family is also from kerala (TVM), and I am from Chennai, so ur advice on homecooked stuff would be welcome since it most likely would fall in line with their views too...
Also, does Kichu sit up?? Reason I ask this is because I am experimenting all feasible and comfortable ways to feed Santhosh...he doesn't sit up on his own yet...

You're hubby's form TVM? My parents are too.. I was born abd grew up in Kochi..

'neways. About food.. Now amma's cooking borwn rice, adding a spoon of not-sour curd, mixing some lactogen and is feeding Kich at noon. He like it with a pinch of salt (very little).. I too give him fruits (Banana, Apple, papaya and juice of sathukudi and orange) Veggies - Tomato, Carrot, beetroot as yet..

No kich also doesnt sit on his own. I put him in his reclining chair or i lie him down on my legs (his feet on mine) and then feed him solids.. You know na? Here in the south, they dont beleive in kids having to sit up, to eat solids..

Have you tried wheat cereal? Now that he's completed 6 months, i think we can try wheat.. Also try mixing some fruits in his cereal, so that the bland taste is taken off..

How is Santosh's weight gain? He continue to take his BM na?
