Due Date Club August 2007:High level of Amniotic Fluid

Hi,

I am 31 weeks pregnant and my EDD is 10th August, 2007. Last week during my antenatal visit, after examination, my doctor told me that the amniotic fluid is more. She has advised me to take a lot of rest and has also administered ' Duvadilon Tab 10 mg' twice a day. I get lot of swelling in my ankles during the second half of the day.

I would like to know if any of you faced this kind of a problem. If so, what is the best way to overcome this? What are the complications of this?

Hi Anitha

I have heard a few of my friends saying that they have swelling on ankles. Try drinking about 12 glasses water a day. Also there is a herb which my MIL gave me to add with the water i drink. I am not sure of its name but it is called neringal in Malayalam, available in herbal medicine shops.
Maybe u can try it if u get it. Swelling will not occur and u wil pass a lot of urine also.
