Thanks you guys..for your supporting words.. I guess I am just getting impatient and frustrated with all the problems..
it's been a long wait for all of us and now that it's so close - it still feels like it's never gonna end..

Arshiya, I will surely start walking more from today and hopefully it will help..
I am in the same boat as you are in when it comes to sleeping at night..I cant sleep for more than an hour at a time...and I can totally understand just how painful the pelvic pain must be..
You will get rid of it soon..and dont worry about not having baby today cause then it would be one celebration for both of you...If he/she were to come on another day it will be two celebrations and that would make it even more fun.... :)

Vindhya, I am trying not to let the fundal height thigy bother me too much...but it sure is hard....I guess we just have to take it as it comes and leave the rest to fate.....it will save us from a whole lot of stress
My parents didn't come with me today cause my appointment was pretty early and I had quite a wait after it too cause hubby could pick me up only after a couple of hours....(I've been off of driving for a week now cause its getting quite uncomfortable for me)...so may be next time....
They've been to the US a couple of times but never been to a hospital, so yeah, it will be quite a change for them...
I told my mom that I was measuring less.. and not knowing that it could mean the baby might not be growing like he should, she says that my sil might have the baby before me (sil is due 2 weeks after me)...aaarghhhhh .. made me feel even down...

Anyways... Arshiya, hope you have something special planned for tonight ;)... Make sure you have lots of fun..

I agree that it is hard to explain all these things to our families and we are better off sharing our worries with each other...
Preetu, thanks for sharing your friends' experience...It was very reassuring...
I've been going through the comparison thing for a long long time and I am getting tired..especially when they say things like "her stomach is bigger than yours" and other inconsiderate things like that...Anyways...cant help but take it in stride and not let it bother us... :)

Simmi, sorry to hear about ur backache and pelvic pain..hope the abdomen belt helps a bit..and yeah, it must tough to sit down while u have it on..your doc might have better suggestions..let us know how it goes..
get lots of sleep like you did yesterday and hang in there.....and like you said, lets all keep the faith..

Donot worry ,i was going through your msg and thought we let u know about my another friend who is also expecting few weeks later than us , Doctor said to her in the begining that she is been measuring 2 weeks less , its not a problem as far as i hear from Doc * she is the doc for me too , Babies are fine inside , donot worry on this and be happy ,take good care of you . my co sister also deliverd 2 weeks before and its been always comparison right from the start ,so this is just too common everywhere , we have the best gift for ourselves , take care and be safe

Keep the faith

Hi Avi. Sorry to hear that you r worried about the fundal height. I'm sure that babe is doing just fine inside. My doc doesn't even measure at every visit and though recommended visit is weekly, I haven't had an appointment this week, so all this is just precaution and u should get alarmed by the suggestion that ur baby is not growing the way he should. He may be taking all the goodness out of you and even if u don't gain too much during the coming weeks, the baby will still grow. I haven't weighed myself but from what I have read, I need not worry if there is no significant weight gain.

So let's keep our hearts positive and share our anxities and yes, agree with Vidhya, best to share things amongst ourselves than trying to explain to family!

My sleep cycle is messed up too and worst, my lower back is playing up so badly, came to work just an hr ago and finding it so tough to sit on the chair, whole back is hurting not just the lower one. Got the abdomen belt through the post since hospital didn't give me a good appointment time. But can't figure out the best way to wear it, surely is tough sitting in it, so not wearing it yet. Will try in the evening but by then my back would be ready to just lie down. Hit the bed at 7pm yesterday and didn't get up till the morning. And still the back hurts!! Pelvic pain is hopeless....

So darlings, let's keep the faith and look ahead to baby fun ahead.

U r so right Vindhya....
Until today, I was the same....would not tell them anything but good things..and I was planning to go back to doing that from now...
Like you, I look for some consolation and like you, I am left with no one but myself....I am glad I have you guys to give the much needed support... :)
It's difficult for people on the outside to understand how we are feeling...even if it is our own parents...
I hope all our little ones are alright inside there....and hope they find their way out whenver they are ready... :)

Don't let any comments bring you down

Avi,

Moms never mean anything bad, so never let her comments bring you down. Each woman is different, even if your s-i-l delivers first, that shouldn't affect you in any way. I know your little bean is doing well inside and he will come out when the time is appropriate. I usually refrain from discussing these matters with family except on this board. I sometimes don't discuss this with my husband either as he will make a big issue out of it and starts thinking negative. When we are in such situations, all we need is some consolation. Most of the times, I console myself that everything is fine. You too, keep a positive attitude. That really helps for you and your baby.

Hang in there

Hey Avi,

Don't worry about bringing us down, we are all here to share our joys and sorrows and that gives us support from each other.
As we have talked before about Strep B test being positive, there is nothing to worry about so don't worry. About baby measuring 2 weeks less, I am sure you will be ok by next week or so.
Do lots of walking atleast and hour a day to have head engaged. I think walking has helped me a lot with that and effacement.
Just like you, I am tired and just wanna have this baby now. Every night I go to sleep thinking tonight we will get to go to hospital, but it's not happening. Also, I haven't been feeling any contractions yet, except some false ones yesterday.
The worst thing is all friends and family's been calling me today and asking me if I have had any pain and hoping for me to deliever on my Bday. I keep saying I wish cuz not only to have baby on my bday but also I am tired now. Can't sleep on sides because of pelvic pain and back has given up since last few days now. I keep changing rooms all night. Trying different matresses and sofas. Poor hubby wakes up at night comes looking for me.
But, I am sure we will all forget this once baby's are born.

Hey Arshiya, it just keeps getting frustrating for me....thats why I didn't post a message - didn't want to bring you guys down....

Strep B positive (as expected), measuring 2 weeks less, so if it doesn't change by next week, I will have to go in for an ultrasound..
baby's head is not engaged yet...

I am so darn tired....makes me wanna yell and tear out my hair... :)

Even I wanted to ask you about your appt.

I can't see you feel sad. Now I have to tell the same about fundal height. I am pretty sure it is because of the baby's position. I hope it'll come back to normal by next week. Mine is always behind, so I've left the thought behind and not worrying too much. I know it's easier said than done.

Regarding Strep B, antiboitics will surely help. Your doctor will take care of it. Do ask Ashra how it went based on her experience.

Did your parents come for your appointment. I am sure they would be curious how everything works here. Is it their first time to US?
