am 29yr old married Muslim woman from Chennai. I had been diagonised for premature ovarian failure before marriage. My ovaries have stopped producing eggs. My doctor(Dr.Gita Arjun of Kalyani Hospital)told that I will not be able to conceive on my own and only way out is to go for donor egg. My religion does not allow this. I approached a inferitilty specialist (Dr.Jayam Kannan of GFC). I was given HMG injections (300 i.u of gynogen)for 12 day from LMP(27.03.05). Then increased to 450 i.u for two days.A scan was done and it was found that there were no follicles. Now I have been given estradiol tablets and doctor said we will see in the next cycle. I am very desperate to have a baby. Kindly let me how do i proceed further. Should I continue my treatment with Dr.Jayam Kannan or approach some other doctor

i'm sorry to hear about ur problem.I'm trying to have a baby too for 3 years now.well i dont personally know about dr jayamkanan but have read bad reports about her on this site itself from personal experiences of people.i'm very condused myself if to see her or not.i'm looking for an infertility specialist in chennai too as i have just shifted here.howz your previous doctor,dr.gita arjun?do you advice that i see her?my husband has a low sperm count.

Hi,

I too feel bad for you. I can understand how difficult it is to live without a baby of our own. My friend suggested me to go to DR.Jayam Kannan. I too feel that she is very moneyminded. She treats her patients as if they are at her mercy. I am continuing my treatment with her since I have already invested a lot in this treatment. scared to start a new one. Known devil is better than unknown angel.
Dr. Gita ARjun is very good. She is leading gynaecologist. She practices at Kalyani Nursing home near Hotel President at mylapore at Dr.RK Salai in Chennai. You can consult her.
I will remember u during my prayers.
