Name: Parul What are the documents required for the legal adoption procedure. Lots of people are saying that the legal adoption procedure in India is a time consuming process. However, I want to prepare my self before hand so that I do not face any problem later on when I go to a government recognised adoption agency.

following documents are need for adoption in India:

Identity Proof
Address Proof
Marriage Proof
Health Certificates
recomendation letters
pasport size photograps
family photo graphs
Bank statements
Letter from a relative etc.

I think the above are the common documents. But some more documents are needed in case of divorcees or single parents. so can you elaborate on same and tell us about the documents which are need for divorcees or single parents.
