hi am 35 year old women, i just going to our office but my hubby say i dont have dressing sense, as i was only a house wife lady but now i want to be as he wants me but he not says whts wrong in me. he just want i be look good and in good dressing sense. so now i want help from ppls who r knowing about fasions and wearing style of dresses. as my height is 5.2 so wht dress looks good for a office going lady and wht kind of salwar suits looks good. i wear normal salwar suits but my hubbys says i not wear dresses according to fasion, i wear jeans also but he says i wear old fasion jeans.. so if any one can help me to selection of dressings plz help me Mel replied. First of all, ask your hubby to give you a chunk of money as you want to upgrade your looks.

Second, don' t let him or anyone affect your confidence. You got your job based on your skills and experience, and if you were so bad, you wouldn' t have got the job.

Apart from that, if you still want to dress better, then here are some simple tips. It' s hard to suggest since I can' t see you, but here are some general tips.

1. Since you are short, try buying boot cut jeans. If you are slim, then most brands should do. If you are a bit heavy, then go for Levi' s or Lee boot cut jeans. Any top will look good, it can be a kurta, kurti, top or shirt.

2. Try wearing churidar kameez instead of salwars. Maybe something different like high collars or chinese collars embroidered kurtas.

3. You can also opt for formal wear. But, it will take some getting used to. Go to a place like Marks & Spencer or Louis Phillipe (Women) or Wills Lifestyle (Women), and try out some shirts and trousers. You will definitely find something that will suit you.

Word of caution, if you wear formal trousers, then don' t wear sandals or open toe shoes, your toes should be concealed. Wear pumps or boots or simple formal black shoes.

Do not wear bracelets, bangles, bindis or sindoor with shirts and trousers.

You could also go to an up market salon and get a shorter, stylish hair cut and colour. But, whatever you do, do it gradually, for e.g. if you colour your hair, go deep brown or burgundy. If you buy western formals, stick to light coloured shirts and dark trousers, and black shoes with grey, navy and black trousers, and dark tan shoes with brown trousers.

And once you look all gorgeous and smart, tell your husband that he looks a bit retro and outdated for you, and he needs to go shapen up.
