tahnks hetal and priya. Priya i guess u r rite that our babies have small apetite.
hetal i talked to his ped his weight is ok acco to his height he is 25% in wt(18.12lbs). they told to give him extra calories ...yogurt cheese butter kind of stuff.
i m concern abt his milk intake this is not for one day that he takes only 2 onces ...this is every day rutine. he never wants to drink rite after solid feed. i always try to give him 2-3 hrs after solid. i read that they need 20-24 ounce milk thats y little worried.
will call to ped and will ask abt whole milk ..see what they say.

chalo then
love to dylan and nirja,
sweety

let us know about whole milk. sry couldnt come online in afternoon, had visit to dr for nirja.

after hearing from you about this thing, i m abit worried too..2 oz too less.i rem you mentioned last time that he is on soy formula,,did you ask dr if soy was ok with him..
before soy formula, was he taking more than right now ????
because with similac it happened to me tht nirja took less solids and she spitted alot of it,,she is ok with enfimil,,its been 3 days so far,,but dr told to observe her till 1 week and then arrive to conclusion...
about weight, if thats the case, you can try things like home made yogurt(hommade yogurt has vitamin d which is not present in outside yogurt or even baby yogurt), ghee, banana, sweet potatoes, potatoes, and sheera ( rava, raagi, or wheat )and all that has natural fat and sugars..will check my tutorials and let you know otherrs too.
cheese is good, but i somehow want to avoid it. ghee is better than cheese..also avacados, artichokes, squash, apricots are good source of natural fat or called good fats,,add these to krish daily meals, everyday..should work.

chal take care,gtg,,

hi sweety, sorry, if m interupting,,but have somethings to tell,,hope you dont mind...

check on his growth, as far as he is growing fine, i dont think you should worry about it. wat does your ped say about it !
i would say that after taking prperly solids, which is to mention, 8-12 tblsp of cereals plus 4-8 tblsp of fruits plus 4-8 tbslp of vegies+2 servings of toasts or biscuits or ne snack, and 4tbslp of meat or meat substitute or ne source of protein(for us, its lentils ),,,if he eats all this well, his formula intake should be minimum 18-24 oz in whole day/night !!!!! now this is the range,,our babies are somwhere 9 months so their intake will b starting from 4 tablspoon !! hope u git my point...

dont expect him to drink when he is eating well ! this is exact words of my dr.. also sometimes during growth sprt, babies often want to eat more and drink less,in that case, wait for a day or so to get in normal course.
for nirja, she takes all in solids, and after taking a good meal she doesnt ask for bm or formula. and i dunt expect too,,their tummies are of the size of their fist !! how much can we fill in...but after 3-4 hours of meal, she takes upto 4-5 oz, which is acceptable...and after 2 hours of good cralwing and exercise, which i make sure she does it,,,she wants to eat,,and she will not take milk !

so i would say count it that way ! prev i was also worried,,but its like we eat properly,,do we drink milk or water !!! no right !
same way it works for them. also, sometimes infact many time nirja skips her meal, and often takes milk or now formula, so i give her that way....
we too do it that way sometimes,,once a week,,watch your diet,,you will find, there is one day or so, we eat less :),,,just the way it works for them,,,
check on his growth, weight, height, developemnts,,and check on his interest of eating and drinking !! and talk to your ped.

love
Hetal

so dont count formula every 3 hours,,count it 2-3 hours after meals.
offereing whole milk is good idea, but talk to ped first..infact m willing to try too,,as i want to avoid formula,, formula is all mix and match of all sorts of artificial things,,,i was reading about dha and stuffs on their sites and they say that they dont guarantee and still their effects are unknown,,so far there is no effect known to them that can be considered bad,,however still research is goin on...and it busted up my plans to give herr formula...
i too m searching for it,,will let you know, once i know,,,
take care

Subject:  Little granular

hi priya,
good to hera that he likes that khichadi. actually he eats little granular. grinded got finished so noe a days i make in cooker. for grinding need to buy good blander. some says coffe grinder is good for grinding dry things.
if dylan doesn't eat granular then let him eat fine powder one then gradully u can start little granular.

tell me one thing krish doesn't like formula takes 2 ounces after 3 hrs gape. so i was thinking that how soon we can offer whole milk. i m really worried abt his milk intake.he is eating solid well.

what 3 solid u give him...how should we offer yobaby as a meal or snake...pls let me know and how much?

swety

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
